Baby Marnie Rose

After Harley’s 37 hour labour to say I was anxious about her birth would be an understatement and even more so due to the circumstances of covid-19. Little did I know it was going to be just simply magical.
Monday 11th May : 6pm waters started to go after a bath with Harley. Contractions started instantly coming in thick and fast. 8:45pm after a really hard hours journey to the hospital 🏥 we arrived at triage to be examined. Jamie wasn’t aloud in, and that upset me (queue tears) but was looked after amazingly by midwives. Sickness kicked up a notch and I couldn’t stomach anything even paracetamol so I was given an anti sickness injection & examined to my relief I was just shy of 4 cms so they called Jamie and I was taken to the delivery suit.
Those two hours flew by and it was 11pm and we were reunited, and the birthing pool was filled and 1975 was put on threw the speaker.
By 12:15 I felt the urge to push, and by 12:40 the amazing midwife had delivered the baby in the pool.
It all happened so fast and im so beyond proud of myself and Marnie. She gave me the birth I was longing for.

What an amazing story, thank you so much for sharing. If you have a story you would like to share about giving birth during Covid-19 or would like to book a session, please get in touch here
