FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Everyone says it but it’s true: they’re only little once. It’s a good idea to have some amazing portraits taken now, before you blink and they’ve grown up.

The idea of a family shoot might not appeal to everyone. Like me, you’ve probably seen a couple of family photos that aren’t really your bag: cheesy poses, awkward jumping around, strained smiles. Yeah, I don’t go in for all that. My family shoots are awesome.

I’ll invite you into my glorious, sun-filled studio or a sunset outdoor shoot, and just ask you to be yourselves. Children often lead family shoots (they’re the least inhibited), they can always be relied upon to make everyone laugh and genuinely be themselves.

I tend to lean towards a clean, dreamy white palette. If the backdrop is simple, then the photography is allowed to breathe and focus on what’s important: the people.

Please note, I don't do extended family sessions, or anywhere with lots of woods and green, thats not my thing. I am all about the neutrals. The wheat field and beach sessions are my favourite.
