Baby Ava

I gave birth to my beautiful daughter Ava Jane Woolley, on the 21st of March 2020, 2 days before lock down officially began. She was born at 11.50pm via emergency c-section weighing 6lb. I was in hospital till the following day and was let home early due to being up and about (as much as I could anyway). Lockdown has affected my little family greatly, firstly my mum was due to be my second birthing partner alongside my fiance however due to hospital rules I was only allowed one person with me. Luckily however, we were due to be staying with my mum when I had Ava, so went straight to her house when coming out of hospital. Secondly my daughter is yet to meet her grandparents and great grandparents who before lockdown i would see almost everyday. We haven’t been able to do any activities with friends or family including baby groups and swimming. My daughter, now being 3 months old on fathers day, is starting to interact with myself and my partner has already missed out on so many opportunities. For me the experience has been bitter sweet. My Partner has had lots of time off work to spend with our daughter however we have all missed out on seeing our family and friends.

What an amazing story, thank you so much for sharing. If you have a story you would like to share about giving birth during Covid-19 or would like to book a session, please get in touch here
